1. Open up Adobe Photoshop and create a new image (CTRL+N).

2. Find an image you want to change to rainbow. I've chosen a Faerie Wocky Neopet (c) neopets.com.

This is the image I've chosen to make rainbow.

3. Paste the image into Photoshop.

4. Create a new layer.

5. Find your Gradient Tool.

If your gradient tool looks like a paint bucket, right click on it and select your gradient tool instead.

6. Select your rainbow Gradient.

7. Drag the gradient over the image like shown:

8. The rainbow should cover the image. You will not be able to see the Faerie Wocky at this time. Now I want you to go back to your Layers Palette and change the Rainbow Layer's blending mode to Overlay.

For this particular Neopet Image, I set mine to SCREEN.

9. Save it and you're done! This effect works well on most all pictures and can be done with any gradient of your choice, not just rainbow. Play around with your blending mode because there may be a setting that looks best for your particular image.
