In this tutorial you will learn to create a transparent box for a blog or guild layout.
END RESULT:

1. Create a new layer (CTRL+N) size 300x300 pixels.
2. Place an image over the background. I've chosen a Neopets.com image of Wocky Day.
3. Create a new layer in your layers toolbox.
4. Set your Foreground color to white, and select your BOX tool. (Press U).
5. Drag it across your image to create a white box over your image.

6. Go over to your layers toolbox and find where it says 'Opacity 100%'. Change it to 75%.
7. Your image should now look like this:
8. Now we're going to add a border. Find your layers toolbox and click on the f button. Then select stroke. Change your settings to 1px and black. Match your settings with mine.
9. Add some text, save it, and you're done!
